Ultrasonic fobbing

Filled bottles with leaks are often difficult to detect. The HEUFT exciter foams up a product by emission of ultrasonic and if the container is faulty its contents will leak out. A downstream fill level check can then detect this fault.

Functions

  • generation of ultrasonic oscillations
  • transfer of the oscillations to the bottle by means of an oscillation metal rail

Typical areas of use

  • lines for filling sweet drinks containing carbon dioxide into plastic bottles
  • lines for filling beer into cliplock bottles

Technical details

  • An ultrasonic generator has been especially developed for this task
  • The escillation amplitude is adjustable for adapting to the various brands
  • the low–friction oscillationg rail is almost abrasion–free
  • sprinkling jets are pricided in order to improve the transfer of the oscillations to the bottle
  • an adjustment unit is available for adapting to cone–shaped bottles

The advantages

  • it is possible to detect even the smallest leaks with a downstream fill level check
  • packages are not soiled by leading products
  • a water bath is not required for transferring the oscillations
  • the fast build–up of pressure in a plastic bottle stabilizes the bottle and results in an improvement to the subsequent transport and labelling process
  • bottles are able to glide along the rail without impact pressure
