Interpack 2008: HEUFT takes positive stock of exhibition

Successful presentation of devices for inspecting empty and full containers at the world´s largest exhibition for the packaging industry

19 halls, over 170,000 square metres of exhibition space, more than 2,700 exhibitors and almost 200,000 visitors:  the largest ever packaging exhibition shone with superlatives on its 50th birthday.  Bernd Jablonowski the exhibition´s project manager explained:  "the level of internationality of the interpack is unequalled in the world today".  Of course HEUFT an international company for groundbreaking innovations in automatic quality assurance technology had to be there.

The HEUFT product portfolio suited the world´s leading exhibition for the packaging industry better than ever as regards subject matter.  According to Mr Jablonowski "the increasing importance of the systems concept and the inline fulfilment of complex tasks" was accommodated with the incorporation of the new subtitle "PROCESSES & PACKAGING".  It is exactly this approach which HEUFT follows with its modular systems which can be put together in order to optimise the packaging and filling processes:  HEUFT is system technology!

The main topic at the HEUFT stand at the interpack 2008 exhibition was "product safety".  A team of experts demonstrated devices, such as the HEUFT InLine,  HEUFT squeezer, HEUFT pakCheck and  HEUFT eXaminer, which check the quality of packages and the products contained in them and safeguard them with lasting effect.  The numerous international visitors were impressed with the precision with which these machines identify and automatically reject damaged, contaminated, leaking, incorrectly filled or improperly coded glass, plastic or carton packages.

HEUFT provided information about a new development for the first time at the interpack exhibition which offers so much safety that it can even be used in potentially explosive filling areas with an easy mind:  a device variant for detecting fill levels and container laning which fulfils the strict explosion protection regulations of the ATEX guidelines.  It is ideally suited for the aerosol industry and other sectors where an explosive mixture of air and gas can form.

The solutions introduced as well as the complete range of products tapped the pulse of the international trade visitors.  The huge crowds which were almost continuously at the HEUFT stand during the one–week exhibition made this clear in an impressive way.  Visitors from all over the world expressed their interest and turned to the competent HEUFT experts for detailed advice.  New contacts were established and existing ones renewed.
