BRAU Beviale 2008: new HEUFT technologies met with a great deal of approval

The exhibition premiere of the new labeller with servo alignment impressed the trade visitors

"Strong exhibition concepts prove their quality and appeal especially in difficult economic times." This is the résumé of the organisers of the BRAU Beviale 2008 exhibition in Nuremberg. This is particularly true as regards the exhibition presence of HEUFT SYSTEMTECHNIK GMBH. At any rate the leading manufacturer of high–performance labelling, inspection and quality assurance systems cannot complain about a lack of feedback. On the contrary: the new and further developments presented were given tremendous applause.

And "applause" definitely has to be taken literally in this case:  those who clapped their hands at the HEUFT stand were able to experience the impressive precision with which the in–house developed servomotors of the new HEUFT TORNADO S flex aligned bottles in order to apply self–adhesive labels particularly accurately.  HEUFT especially produced an interactive construction in order to demonstrate this direction–setting technology which reacted to the acoustic signals of the exhibition visitors´ hand clapping and rotated the body label exactly in their direction.

Servo–controlled container alignment for labelling accurate to the millimetre

The visitors could also discover for themselves how well this works in the new high–performance labeller.  Because this new product was constantly working as were all the systems presented at the HEUFT stand.  The optimal container alignment which the in–house developed servo control in conjunction with a sophisticated camera technique implements met with a great deal of approval by the numerous potential customers.  Self–adhesive labels can be applied so individually and accurate to the millimetre which would hardly be possible with a mechanical rotating cam.  The flexibility during the later integration of new brands, its tidy design, the integrated bottle burst detection, optional non–stop operation and the particularly easy and fast replacement of servo units are further advantages of the HEUFT TORNADO S flex.

A more precise sidewall inspection with the new HEUFT InLine R 10

The perfected HEUFT InLine R 10 empty bottle inspector also celebrated a successful exhibition premiere.  Each of its colour camera based inspection modules has been accommodated in a particularly compact casing and they provide a complete all–around view of each container inspected.  Glass faults, contamination and foreign objects on the sidewalls can therefore be identified even more precisely especially as regards structured and bevelled glass containers.  A device which has a range of functions which also includes a base and a finish inspection, a mineral ring, scuffing and residual liquid detection as well as a new module for detecting rust rings was presented live.  The visitors to the exhibition were able to convince themselves of its high performance – test bottles with the smallest faults, even those which were visually hidden behind glass structures, were reliably detected.

High–performance products impressed the visitors to the exhibition

The performance of the other products presented at the most important industry wide capital goods exhibition of the year knew how to impress.  Whether the new, superior colour detection of the HEUFT FinalView R 10 quality inspection, the optimised glass splinter protection which the further developed HEUFT VX R 10 fill management system provides or the latest release of the HEUFT eXaminer XXO foreign object inspection:  the numerous visitors were visibly impressed.

True–to–life presentation met with approval

The crowds at the HEUFT stand, where solutions for inspecting returned crates, checking for leaks and optimising lines could also be experienced, were extremely intensive over all three days.  The presentation of direction–setting HEUFT devices in action provided high informational value.  The tremendous applause for the in–house developed servo control of the new HEUFT TORNADO S flex proves this impressively.
