HEUFT Service: adherence to schedules despite volcanic eruptionEyjafjallajökull paralysed nearly the whole of Europe for almost a week. The ash cloud from the Icelandic volcano brought air traffic to a standstill and thousands of appointments had to be cancelled in the middle of April in many parts of the continent. The fact that HEUFT was able to fulfil all urgent service obligations under these difficult circumstances is yet again proof of the quality and flexibility of our worldwide customer service network. Time is money: lengthy production downtimes due to commissioning, maintenance or repair dates which have not been kept to are not only annoying but also expensive. A supplier who is optimally positioned all over the world and is on time even when conditions are adverse is required in order to avoid this - a supplier such as HEUFT. Even a natural disaster such as the volcanic eruption in Iceland cannot thwart the company´s customer service with locations in 18 different countries and a comprehensive network of service points on all five continents. The HEUFT service team was able to keep to all urgent deadlines despite the air travel chaos in the European airspace. Land or sea routes were chosen if a journey by air was not possible. When a technician was grounded at an airport another technician, from a location not affected by the flight restrictions, took over his work. There was no danger that he did not have the necessary technical knowledge. All our service technicians are familiar with all the HEUFT systems due to extensive in-house training and a wealth of experience. The HEUFT TeleService secured us an additional advantage: with this device malfunctions can be identified, analysed and directly rectified to a certain extent using a protected Internet connection from a distance regardless of the location. An on-site visit, if this is nevertheless necessary, is shortened considerably due to the information received in advance. Thanks to this flexibility even the eruption of the Eyjafjallajökull volcano was not able to affect HEUFT´s adherence to schedules. |
