Explosive atmosphere? No problem!

Fill level detection and container laning - this also functions in an "explosive atmosphere" with immediate effect: HEUFT SYSTEMTECHNIK GMBH has developed a device variant which fulfils the ATEX criteria for use in potentially explosive areas. The HEUFT VX for ATEX operates in the aerosol and spirits industry just as safely as in other filling sections where a dangerous mixture of air and gas can form.

Study trip with a high level of practical experience: Weihenstephan visitors see their standards fulfilled at HEUFT

It has set new standards in close co-operation with HEUFT SYSTEMTECHNIK GMBH: the Weihenstephan Science Centre (Wissenschaftszentrums Weihenstephan - WZW) of the Technical University of Munich has revolutionised the acquisition of production data (PDA) with the Weihenstephan standards, which were co-developed with the HEUFT company, therefore contributing to the increase in the productivity and profitability of drinks filling lines. 40 students from the brewing and drinks technology course of studies at the WZW were now able to see for themselves during their visit to Burgbrohl that the HEUFT plug and play solutions played a leading role in this respect.

Source of danger eliminated

It is no longer a secret that bottles which burst during the filling process can contaminate other containers with flying pieces of glass. Total bursts are reliably detected. However this is not always the case if only individual parts are burst away.

The fuzzy logic or how to compare apples with pears

It is sometimes difficult for machines: facts which are simple for humans have to be examined and verified by them repeatedly at first. Thus containers which are similar can be differentiated simply and clearly by humans but conventional inspectors can only examine certain features such as shape and colour. However HEUFT uses fuzzy logic in order to obtain the correct overall result from the individual results.

Shockproof - the free falling empty bottle inspector

The peripheral conditions in the bottling hall are extremely bad for precision devices. The electronics have to be protected accordingly due to the high air humidity and components made of metal have to be protected e.g. against aggressive cleaning agents. The systems are constantly subjected to mechanical stress due to the vibration of the conveyors.

What do you really know about your best before date?

In the majority of cases the best before date (BBD) is the only indicator the customer or retailer has in order to determine the edibility of a product. Experience shows that the consumer will decide against a product if the BBD is missing or has not been correctly applied (e.g. due to a malfunction of the inkjet or laser coding system). The HEUFT vio OCR BBD code reading system ensures that such unnecessary faulty coding which also involves costs belongs to the past.
