The HEUFT exciter makes leaks in filled glass and PET bottles containing carbon dioxide visible. It fobs up the product which is contained in them by means of ultrasonics. The container loses liquid if it has a leak. A downstream fill level detection registers this so that containers with leaks are consistently withdrawn from circulation.

FUNCTIONS

• generation of ultrasonic oscillations using a specially developed generator
• transfer of the oscillations to the bottle by means of an oscillating metal rail
• sprinkling jets to optimise the transfer of the oscillations to the bottle
• adjustable oscillation amplitude for a brand change

THE ADVANTAGES

• low-friction and almost abrasion-free oscillating rail
• prevents contents which may be bad from endangering the health of the consumer
• cases or complete pallets are not soiled by leaking products
• the fast build-up of pressure in a plastic bottle stabilises the bottle and improves its transport characteristics and ability to be labelled
• water bath not required for transferring the oscillations
• the containers slide along the guide rails without impact pressure
